From May 27th to June 1st, professor Xie Naiming, associate professor Yu Xianyu and Lecturer He Shawei from College of Economics and Management of NUAA went to Skoda Auto University in Czech to attend the university-enterprise cooperation seminar of Erasmus+ JEUL project of European Union.

In the morning of May 27th, the teachers attended opening ceremony of the seminar in Skoda Auto University. Pavel Mertlik, President of Skoda Auto University welcomed the representatives from CEM and introduced the agenda of the seminar. Also, he wished a success for the seminar and hoped all attenders can make some progress in the week-long seminar. 

During May 27th and 29th, representatives from Czech demonstrated the classroom teaching and student development methods of combination of Skoda Auto University and automotive manufacturing enterprises. All the present representatives showed great interests of it. Pavel Strach, head of Marketing Department at Skoda Auto University introduced the methods and experiences of building university-enterprise cooperation relationship. Martina Beranek, teacher from Czech, demonstrated the management classroom teaching method based on operation simulation. Tomas Dostal, representative from Skoda Group introduced the implementation mode and overview of university-enterprise cooperation. Three undergraduates from Industrial Engineering of CEM were invited to attend the seminar. They shared the “NUAA-Skoda” oversea internship mode to the participants and feelings and  experiences during the internship. 

During the seminar, on behalf of College of Economics and Management of NUAA, Mr. He Shawei shared the management science and engineering course system and the methods of student development. Moreover, he highlighted the achievements of discipline construction in CEM, which received unanimous praise by representatives from Skoda Auto University and other delegations. 

During the seminar period, teachers from CEM met with Pavel Mertlik, President of Skoda Auto University, and Petr Sulc and Lenka Stejskalova, vice president of Skoda Auto University. The two sides summarized the existing achievements of international exchanges and cooperation under the cooperation agreement between “NUAA-Skoda Group”, such as undergraduate overseas internships and inter-university visiting scholars. The two sides hope to further expand existing forms of cooperation and establish long-term cooperative relations in the future. 

Through this seminar, the level of professional construction and internationalization of CEM will be improved. Meanwhile, the international reputation of NUAA and CEM can both get promoted. And the inter-university and inter-college cooperations will be deepened. 

The university-enterprise cooperation seminar relies on Erasmus+ JEUL project of European Union. The object is to fund universities from Europe and Asia to improve students’ ability to adapt to future jobs through teaching reform and university-enterprise cooperation. Universities participating in the project include Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, University of Siena of Italy, Skoda Auto University of Czech, Vilnius University of Lithuania, etc. Universities included in this project are further deepening cooperation in students’ exchanges, teachers’ visiting and joint application for scientific research projects.
